The Mineralogical Society of Victoria was established in March 1976 with the aim of fostering an interest in Mineralogy.

Meetings are a mixture of weeknight evenings in the city (see below) and monthly gatherings on weekends for groups interested in micro-minerals and also larger (macro) minerals.

Evening meetings are typically held in the Melbourne CBD at the historic Royal Society of Victoria's rooms, 8 LaTrobe Street, Melbourne. Commencing at 8:00 pm and usually finish around 10:00 pm after a light supper.

Visitors are most welcome to attend.
