The Mineralogical Society of Victoria was established in March 1976 with the aim of fostering an interest in Mineralogy.
Meetings are a mixture of weeknight evenings in the city (see below) and monthly gatherings on weekends for groups interested in micro-minerals and also larger (macro) minerals.
Evening meetings for 2021 will be held at the South Melbourne Community Centre, 1 Ferrars Place, South Melbourne, or in the Melbourne CBD at the historic Royal Society of Victoria's rooms, 8 LaTrobe Street, Melbourne. (Please see the Forward Diary for meeting venues.) Meetings commence at 8:00 pm and usually finish around 10:00 pm after a light supper.
Visitors are most welcome to attend. Further updates on activities can be found on our Facebook page, by clicking on the following link: MinSocVic Facebook Page
